Today, there are literally hundreds of different treatments for acne available. A note of caution here is that you must not apply concentrated glycerin on your skin as it can draw water from your skin and cause blisters. They are not going to tell you that chocolate and Dr Pepper cause acne. Avoid picking scabs because skin that has been affected by acne is infected.
While acne is normally found on the face, it can also appear on the neck, shoulders, chest and back and less commonly on the arms and legs. While there are many causes of acne, the biggest culprit is the production of too much sebum. The causes of acne can vary from one person to another.
There is two types of comedo,an open and closed comedo An open comedo known as( blackhead) is less commonly to become inflamed than a closed comedo(whitehead). These lesions commonly appear on the skin as small, whitish bumps. Sebum is produced by sebaceous glands deep within each pore and it can take two or three weeks before it reaches the skins surface.
Myth #2 – Certain foods, such as greasy foods and chocolate, cause acne breakouts. This combination plugs up the skin’s pores and becomes infected with bacteria that oozes into nearby tissues, resulting in swelling, nodules, pimples or whiteheads. It could cause depression and a lot of stress.
If the oil is close enough to the surface, but not close enough to become a whitehead, it will become a pustule. There are lots of nutrients in the form of vitamins, minerals, and healthy food that are important to your whole body – and that includes your skin.
